Saw Mill Services

Here at Logs To Heirlooms we have operated a Wood-Mizer LT40 HD portable saw mill since August 2004.  Our trained sawyers know how to get the most board feet and the best quality out of every log they mill.

We only mill logs at our site:

2752 Stringtown Rd NE, Lancaster, OH  43130

Milling is by appointment only.  Please contact us to arrange to drop off your logs here.  You can arrange to be here when we mill your logs so that you can watch the process or even provide hands-on assistance.  Again, contact us to arrange scheduling.  Otherwise we will schedule milling at our first opportunity.

Milling price: $70/hr

We are responsible to keep a sharp blade on the mill and to provide other supplies and tools for a safe and efficient milling. However, sometime we encounter forgein objects imbedded in the log that can ruin a saw blade.  This the log owner's responsigility.  If a blade is ruined by forgein objects or matter imbedded in the log a replacement blade costs $35/blade.

Typically we can mill a log in about 30 to 45 minutes.  However, this can vary a lot depending on the size, shape and condition of the log.
